Week 3 EOC: Making Money for Good

The Make-A-Wish foundation is a Non Profit foundation that makes kid’s dreams come true. It started on April 29, 1980.The children have to be between the ages of 3 to 17 years old. The child’s physician is that ultimately decides if a child is eligible to be in the foundation or not. The headquarters of the foundation is located in Phoenix, Arizona. It started about 36 years ago. The president and CEO of the Foundation is David A. Williams. The whole plan for this organization was to make a difference in a child’s life and to bring joy to the family again. It inspires them to grant wishes that change the lives of the kids they serve. Wishes are granted to the kids who are eligible for the foundation and who need that special moment in their life. The Make –A- Wish foundation gives far more then just present and gift’s they give the children and the family hope and faith that they need to follow through the battle that they are fighting for the life of their son or daughter or loved one. Parents might finally feel like they can be optimistic and give that support to their child. And still others might realize all they have to offer the world through volunteer work or philanthropy. Every year, there are approximately 27,ooo children that are diagnosed with a medical condition that makes them eligible for a wish experience. In the year of 2015, they granted the wishes of nearly 14,800 kids. The vision that they have is to grant every wish of those kids in need not just half of the kids that are in the program. The vision is not just numbers, its about real lives and very real wish impacts. The kids have said that these experiences have brought back hope into their life and that’s the most important thing they need.
